These are really cute! My hubby just brought me home 2 from the Yellowstone trip. What a funny gift right? Maybe a new valance for my kitchen is in order???

I bought a couple yards of two colors of burlap absolutely EONS ago and I'm quite sure I fully intended to do something terrific with it!! As I recall, when Room by Room w/Sherrie & Matt (ohhhhh I am sooo dating myself) was on, Sherrie did something really neat w/burlap.Either a throw pillow or maybe place mats (?) but I also remember she pulled some of the horizontal threads and created FRINGE along the edges. Hmmm, I think I'd better go dig out my burlap, right??? ...»

Debbie - I adore your kitchen and that high ceiling makes the room seem soo spacious - what I can see of it!! LOL Love your window treatment and your patriotic touches!!

@FoxHollow - be sure to post for us if you do this. I think it's very sweet that your hubby brought home burlap coffee sacks. Do they have any of the Yellowstone Logo's on them??? He must know that you like rustic things!!

Thank you Susan, that was an awesome compliment. I LOVE colored burlap and think it would make for a wonderful window treatment, with perhaps a little embellishment or trim!

@Debbiedoo's - well, actually my "colors" of burlap are not really colors per se - just two different shades of neutral!! LOL Haven't pulled it out yet but I think I have a beige and then a little deeper tan but not quite brown. The typical shades that you think of burlap being. Definitely on adding embellishments. I'm wondering how well burlap might accept "dye" or. . . .I'll bet a cute edging or border could be applied using rubber stamps too! Ohhhhhh - so many possibilities!! ;~)

You are right Susan, the possibilities are endless. You are creative so they will be fabulous whatever you do. I have a sponsor on my blog that carries the prettiest colors of burlap I have ever seen.

Ohhhhhhh???? Burlap in colors? Please tell me more ;~) To be perfectly honest, I haven't even been in a fabric store in ages and I probably got mine at WalMart. Just went back to your blog where you said you got a box from your sponsor so I figure it's the BurlapFabrics.com I should check out, right??? I had to laugh at the I don't sew comment. Give me a glue gun or iron on stuff and I'm good to go.l I have a sewing machine but I have a real loooooow tolerance level when it comes to things getting jammed up and not working right!! LOL

Such a cute room...love the decor! I did my Burlap curtians in the same manner, now sew..just hung with clips..I wish I could find clips like yours ! Those have been hard to find around my area. I had to use something similar...but still want the kind you are using!
