Kitchen Remodel ... and no, it's not white

While everyone else is busy painting their kitchens white, I went in the opposite direction and painted my builder's grade oak cabinets a rich dark brown ...

Kitchen is lovely, and dramatic, however I have to add , about the counter top..is it white? Makes it sparkle and brighten it all up! Sooo, some white is good?Nicely done!

I think it looks wonderful. I have been debating about painting my upper cabinets black and my lowers cream. I have black appliances so I don't know if that would be too much or not.

@Bernice, the counter top is indeed white. Zeus White Silestone (which is quartz) ... they were my big splurge item ...

Just went to your site...love the progress pictures and the well adjusted teen in a cage..hmmm maybe that is why he is well adjusted? Works for me! Jusstttt kidding!
Anyway, the white countertop really perks and lightens everything. Beautiful job! Too bad it went on and on and on...$....but the results are wonderful. And we women deserve nice environments where we spend so much time, right?
