How to Paint a Floor

I always wanted to paint a floor but was never brave enough to do it. I did 2 different areas in our guest house.First, the beige and off white check in the main living space and the red and off white check in a sunroom. Love the look and the durability of the floors.Click here for a full tutorial http://topthistopthat.blogspot.com/2012/05/h...

I've been thinking about painting some floors just for fun for the last few months. I'm going to check out your tutorial!

You did very nice work, but I have a question. From your blog, it looks like you painted the plywood subfloor. Isn't that a rough surface?

steve- this subfloor was not "rough", albeit not entirely smooth but smooth enough to walk bare footed.
