Ugly Room Gets a British Inspired Makeover - MUST SEE Before & After

While my son was away at church summer camp, we decided to surprise him by not only giving him a room makeover - but switching him to a totally different room in our house!
The best part was, we did it on a very small budget, by fixing up and repurposing things we already had.
He loves the colors black and gray and loves all things British, so that was the theme we decorated his room around.
The room we moved him to, started out pretty awful looking. The walls had very glossy pine paneling on them, but that wasn't anything some paint couldn't fix.
His old dresser got a paint makeover, and we removed the top 2 drawers to create a shelf space for baskets.
But we didn't let the drawers go to waste. One was turned into a unique hanging wall shelf. {Visit the link to see what the other drawer was turned into).
No-sew curtains were made from drop cloth canvas.
A vintage map of London was added to a freshly painted frame, with a new red mat.
