Curbside Table Gets Makeover With A Map

I picked up this table on the side of the road. It had a great shape and was sturdy.
I painted this table "Delightful" from Country Chic Paint. For some reason, the paint color reminded me of maps so I decided to incorporate them into the table.
I used a Modge Podge technique and added pieces of a map to the inside parts of the table.I distressed the edges of the table and added Antiquing Wax all over it to calm down the bright color a little bit.
I love finding treasures on the side of the road and bringing them back to life in a new way. It can get boring to just paint a piece and be done with it so this time, I wanted to do something different and let my creativity go!

Wow...people are still going on about this? Let's get something straight...If you take an "antique?" and strip it down and re-stain it...it no longer has any value! While I still maintain that this table wasn't a valuable antique, even if it was, if she had done what a lot of you are telling her to do...she would have ruined the value too! It's her little table to do with as she pleases and BTW, it's lovely....not my color scheme but still lovely.

I think it's great! I'm so surprised at the negative chatter about a little table! I would be happy to have this cutie in my home!
