Making Pumpkins From Toilet Paper Rolls and Ribbon

Several years ago, I made toilet paper pumpkins with my youngest daughters preschool class. We wrapped the toilet paper with orange tissue paper and they made little leaves to stick in the top. They were adorable! But I decided that they could actually be a beautiful home decoration with some more sophisticated supplies!
My supplies were: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 roll of ribbon, green burlap ribbon and sticks.
I cut the ribbon into strips that were long enough to stuff in the top and bottom of the roll.
I added 8 strips of ribbon.
Then I added the stick for the stem.
And 3 pieces of the burlap ribbon for the leaves.
And a bowl full of these are going to be a perfect fall decoration!

You could use paper towel rolls with quilt batting or any kind of stuffing such as winter scarves to make taller pumpkins as well. Another blogger used silk scarves on the outside of her pumpkins and just tucked them in the top and bottom of the tube aroung the stuffing. Happy Halloween.
