Scooping the Poop and Other Nasty Pick Ups

Shhhh...Ewwww...Yuck!
No one wants to talk about scooping the poop but it is an important part of being a dog owner {and having a beautiful and clean lawn too}. Dog feces do not burn a lawn like urine can but if left to sit can cause a host of other pests and diseases.
There is nothing worse than stepping in dog poop either...
well, maybe if you are barefoot...
but really the real reason for picking up dog poop is to keep your pet, your kids, and your lawn healthy. Dog feces can carry a host of worms, parasites, and diseases and to be frank it is just gross.
But owning a pooper scooper has more advantages too-
1) it can pick up mushrooms that pop up in the yard
2) it can even pick any other nasty things
3) no bending over!
Plus if you have indoor/outdoor cats like I have (or just visitors), then you can use it to pick up the cat feces too. My cats are housebroken so I am saved with having to scoop kitty litter. However, in my yard I am usually too late to find the cat crap because I cannot run fast enough before they lap up the delectable delight in their mouths AND it is NOT in my job description to pry open their mouths to retrieve such nasty.
There is nothing beneficial or pleasant for the lawn by not scooping the poop.
