Decks & Patios Pools & Spas

Our pool deck project

We hired professionals to install a used pool we bought from my sister, then designed and built our deck!

Almost done - now there is a step from ground to lower deck - about 6 feet wide.

The deck looks great, but I have to ask: Are your kids playing in a wading pool next to the real pool?

I'll bet that's for washing off your feet before you get in the real pool. . .

yes, and yes. For the moment, we are using it to rinse feet. I desgined the two-level deck because my three year old twins aren't ready for the big pool yet. They will use the splash pool ON THE LOWER DECK (still supervised) once the upper deck is complete with railings and gate. That way they can be out with us even if they don't want to be in the big pool with everyone else. The photo shows my 5 and 7 year olds, who are ready for and love the big pool. You concern is well-placed. ...»
the only reason the splash pool is still on the upper deck is because that was the section we finished first, then filled the little pool, and just haven't emptied/refilled it since the lower deck was completed 2 days ago!

We built a deck up to our above ground pool also and it's wonderful! I can't wait to see your finished project!
