How To Remove Rust Spots From A Favorite Knife

I have a favorite chef's knife that's always the first one I grab for cutting up fruit and veggies. But I had let rust spots accumulate over time (I guess I let my knife sit with water on it for too long, too many times) and that left me looking for a way to get my knife back in good shape again.
I tried a couple different homemade solutions with no success. Thankfully I found an easy solution which I guess shouldn't have come as a surprise to me. It was one of my most favorite cleaners - Bar Keepers Friend!

My favorite knife was in bad shape with rust spots that had gotten worse over time. I was beginning to think I shouldn't use it anymore!
Thankfully I found an easy solution and it looks so much better!
Now that my knife is back in good shape it's getting used almost every day again.

    It's really the citrus that is the culprit, the acid is really bad for your knives. Wash and dry it immediately after cutting lemons and limes.

    Thanks for the tip, Bev! I have Bar Keepers Friend under the kitchen sink, but I've only used it to clean my kitchen counters and stainless steel sinks. It never occurred to me to use it on my utensils. They just aren't as shiny and clean-looking as they used to be.
