DIY Panel Headboard

This project was from last year, but I'm new to Hometalk so I thought I'd share a few oldies but goodies from my blog. I made this panel headboard from some Home Depot lumber, foam mattress toppers and canvas from the fabric store. It's budget friendly and super comfy.
It only took a weekend to complete this project, I'm definitely no DIY expert and I was able to do this with very little help. Adding the foam, batting and fabric was easy (but time consuming).Home Depot or Lowes will cut your panels for you so there is no need for any woodworking skills (or equipment).
When it came time to start screwing the panels together I needed to call in reinforcements. It's important to make sure your panels are as close together as possible so you will need someone to hold them while you screw them in place.
As you can see I went with a neutral color for mine, but it would be a great way to add some color to boring walls if you used something more bold. Head on over to the blog for more details and complete supply list...

You did an amazing job. I will attempt to make one but I want a huge hotel size. :)
