$60 Bathroom Makeover

The guest bathroom in my house is super dark with no windows and horrible lighting. I decided that I needed to take matters into my own hands to 'lighten' it up. The problem was, this bathroom wasn't something that was used often enough to spend a ton of money on. So, I did everything in here for $60! Board and batten and all. I love how bright and airy it feels now.
The first step was to bring white into the space with some board and batten and the floor to ceiling shower curtain.
Here's the before. My style has changed a bit since I decorated this 5 years ago. Plus the dark colors didn't help the lighting in the room at all.
I added the board and batten to the whole bathroom for only $11!
I wanted a little bit of a coastal feel so I brought in some glass bottles and spray painted coral.
These are black and white pictures I took while visiting San Juan Island.
The shower curtain is just two curtains bought from Ikea. I hung them as close the ceiling as possible.
The mirror was framed with the straightest 1x4s I could find.
I kept the accessories simple and light.
I'm so happy with the way this turned out!

I love the board and batten and the color palette and the curtains from IKEA are really pretty as a shower curtain. The finished room is so fresh and inviting! Really beautiful!
