Make An Old Crib Into a Drying Rack!

When your last child moves to a "big kid" bed, repurpose the crib into a Ballard-inspired drying rack for just a few dollars. Here's how: http://alwayssomethinghome.blogspot.com/201...

I did it too! Ballard inspired drying rack from an up-cycled crib. I found the like-new crib discarded in a ditch. SCORE! DIY: Hinges at the bottom, eye-hooks and chain at the top. A small piece of Velcro secures it flat when not in use. Since I was there I also installed a white shelf above the window to store all my empty canning jars. The laundry is off the kitchen so it keeps them convenient AND out of the way! I love my drying rack and use it ALL the time : )

This style is SO pricey at Ballard and I just adore your take on it! WIsh I hadn't sold my son's crib!

Keep an eye out in your town. You may very well find one on someone's curb the night before trash pick up like I did!

Well now I know what I'll be doing with the sides of the cribs I find. Thanks Patty and Denise!
