DIY Mercury Glass Mirror

An old window, some Krylon Looking Glass spray paint and a little Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. Put them all together and you get this vintage beachy faux mercury glass mirror.

Really love Looking Glass spray paint.

Full tutorial is on my blog, Atta Girl Says. #Bestof2012

Very clever. I have never heard of that spray paint, but it looks like a great solution.

Amy, yours is the second post I've seen using that paint...it sounds awesome. I love the result. I may need to investigate it for making a gazing ball

FYI, I've found the paint at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. I don't think the hardware stores carry it

Thank you for the great idea and also the info. I found a mirror at a thrift shop that is beautiful except for 2 small flaws like where the mirror finish has been scraped off. Since I lost all my lovely mirrors in Aug. when my house burned I am looking for used items I can make look lovely again and that have some character :)

@Romona Worley, I'm so sorry about your fire and your loss. How devastating that must have been for you. I think you will love the look you can achieve with Looking Glass Spray Paint as you create new/old treasures for your home.

I love what you did with this window ...I recently acquired an old window and I was undecided on what to do with it. You've given me the inspiration I need Amy.
