Since you have so many of them, you could tack cloth in the openings and made a bi-fold screen or you could attach them together to make a headboard! Or rub them down with oil to add some color, make an uncomplicated brace for it and place one in a corner in front of which you could sit a beautiful plant, or even attach a light at the top and display artwork. There could be ulimited uses!
I saw this and said why I didn't think of this. I love it.I have a screen door on my laundry room. I loved the door but didn't like the idea of being able to see in it. I just added the material over the screen. I have the bottom cut out for my cats to use the litterbox.
I love this...particularly since it came from your Great Granfather's house. One thing about this screen door is that it lets a small room ventilate. That is why I love louvered doors on my closets.
Very cute idea! I have done a couple of old screen door projects. I love them. I have one sitting in my garage right now that's just waiting for a makeover!
