DIY Pallet Flower Boxes

This project was actually my husband's idea. I showed him some pins of things that have been created with pallets and it had him dying to create something of his own. He initially wanted to make shelves with a reclaimed pallet to hang above our new buffet [post about this DIY project coming soon], but I wasn't feeling it. We already have a clock that I brought before we even moved into our house that I found at Target that I'm in love with and I didn't want to move it at all. So, I decided that they would make great flower boxes that would accessorize our deck and he was all in.

I got some old pallets, placed in front of existing deck, had my carpenter put pressure treated plywood on top, put down an out door rug, now have extra seating with an old table I got free and painted red, or can put lounge chairs on it. I also had an old wooden float, set that up, put the plywood on top and have my hammock there, so it's away from the deck , looks like I have 3 decks now. Because where my camp is 18 feet from water can't really build on to the existing deck, but my extras are ok as they would be considered portable! I also took a sm pallet, lined bottom with plastic and planted flowers in it. I also use a pallet to hold the paddles for kayaks, noodles, another one has the rakes, shovels in it.
