Mustard Yellow Buffet

Love this buffet makeover. It was our great-grandmother's and was passed down. We left the top and painted the bottom a mustard yellow and lightly distressed it. The knobs were replaced as well because the originals were missing. Here is the full before/after: http://lollyjane.com/mustard-yellow-buffet/

How pretty this turned out!!! I'm glad you left the top it's original finish - two tone pieces have a lot of phazazz (however that word is spelled LOL) There is just something about older pieces of furniture that have all the beautiful curves, turned legs & appliques. They just don't make 'em like that anymore!!!

I love the way this turned out! The yellow color gives it an updated look without loosing its "old world" charm.

That yellow color is perfection! This must be why I can never find gorgeous pieces for sale like this - they just get passed down to very lucky people!

I love it. Anything shabby chic-never seen yellow before but I really like it.

The piece looks vintage and the distressed look adds to the old world character.

Hi all! THANKS for the compliments!! Here is the step by step: http://lollyjane.com/mustard-yellow-buffet/ Should have included that the first time! The color is a Valspar, Jackson Square is the name of the color (AR1806). It's actually more of a mustard yellow than sunny yellow. I love it!! (:

Love this buffet! I saw a small one (about the size of the middle section of this one) in a thrift store. Wanted it so bad but, alas, did not have room for it. I would have painted it also. Love painted furniture. You did a great job.
