Cats using neighbors mulch for rest area.

Does anyone had a solution about what to put on neighbor's mulch to keep cats from using it as their personal rest stop? The odor is so strong and offensive.

I have the same problem and I will tell you I've had no luck with home remedies, or store bought deterrants. Someone on here mentioned putting chicken wire under your mulch because they would not like how it felt, but my mulch is already down and didn't want to fuss with it. I just toss any "piles" into the yards of neighbors with cats. Childish I know, but unless you want to actually trap the cat and send it to animal control- which we pay for here, there is little to do. Please just ...»
be sure to ALWAYS wear gloves in your garden and wash hands thoroughly. I wash my gloves to. They carry so many germs and it is so easy to accidentally transfer thoe germs to yourself or family.

Dog. Walter Reeves idea of the motion sprinkler system is really the best method other then a fence.
