Hello Brent, I had a few houses get blown-in cellulose insulation in Florida and it ran up to $2 a sq ft and as low as $.75 a foot. I would say around a dollar a sq ft would be the norm on the east coast. To get the highest R rating be sure to have adequate cross ventillation from either the eves, ends or peaks of the roof. rent a unit and buy the insulation at most large home centers and save some dough too, just wear protective clothing...it all itches in this heat! JL

The cellulose itches? If it does it isn't like fiberglass. The fiberglass will eat you up especially when it is hot and your pores are expanded.

I'd take the cellulose route...it is by far a bit less itchy.
