need to know what to do after home built with all rocks etc around home and not able to put in grass or flower garden,

Had beautiful yard with grass and then when house built on it, left me with lots of rocks from digging up for foundation and can not remove them as too many so suggestions for what to put up by house to make it better than with all these rocks.

Do you have any photos? I bet that could get some creative juices flowing. You could make a rock garden, or make a rock river through the landscaping.

So it looks like you still have some nice lawn toward the front of the property. A nice rock garden against the house with some low-water perennials could look great. Something along these lines, with wider rock on either side of the path:

I see lots of potential, Sheila. You could rake the rocks into a seating area on the left side, or into a path from your front door to the driveway (lay it out with a garden hose first, then mark the borders with spray paint). If the rocks are too big for that, you could always use them as the base layer and then put pea gravel or something on top that will smooth out better.

Love those nice big windows BTW...As far as the rocks go...that is not as bad As I thought given your description. A few afternoons (or mornings to escape the midday heat) with a rake and a wheel barrow and that could be cleaned up with some sweat equity.
The rocks could then be spread close to the foundation to keep mud off the side the house. Further out some top soil could be added and sod laid.....this would be the simplest. I your looking ...»
for more formal options the sky is the limit. A mixed texture planting bed with a winding flagstone walkway is just one of dozens of possible options.

I need a clarification about a response There is an area on one side of driveway by kitchen/dining room windows that is smaller, do u suggest the perennials there? then what do I do with the big main part in front of house.

Sheila, if there is easy access from the kitchen/dining room to that area, it is the perfect space for a kitchen and herb garden, or "potager." You could even fence it off and create an entrance with an arbor that would make a lovely landscape accent. You have plenty of room for shrubs and trees in the rest of your space.

we used our rocks after building to form a terrace and flower beds. Rocks are a naturally appealing and a great border. also good for a small pond..
