Chest Dresser Before & After

Kelly
by Kelly
Now, before the stain critics come out, let me explain why I painted this dresser vs. staining it or keeping it the way it is. I bought this dresser for my daughter's 23rd birthday. Her favorite color is aqua & she has always wanted to go to Paris & Italy, so I put that theme in mind. This is what I came up with! Hope you like it! I'm very proud of my work & I hope I get better as I do more.
This is before
This is After!
I stenciled the sides with Paris themes
The top front shows a scripture about Leonardo de Vinci, which was incredibly difficult. I basically had to give up from trying to make it perfect & just accepted the little thickness in some areas gives it character. That's my excuse anyways!
The other side with the same Paris theme

How clever & gorgeous! This gives me an idea for my guest bedroom. Was this chalk paint? I have a huge oak bedroom set that desperately needs a makeover but I can't even begin to lift it. Wonder if I could do this painting in the bedroom with lots of drop cloths??? Marvelous job !!

Kelly, Very nice job you did on it, came out great! --- HappyGrandmaGA, I was actually thinking the same thing! Wondered if I could refinish furniture in the bedroom with lots of drop cloths & open windows for ventilation!
