Please help with mirror ideas!

My Mom gave me this mirror last year. I can't stand gold color, but I love the mirror! Can anyone give me idea's on what I could do to make it beautiful? I can try and get better pictures if you want! Please let me know if you can help? I would greatly appreciate it!

Beautiful piece! I would paint it an off white, one with a hint of gray...paint the accent parts with a dusty charcoal, then use a dark gray wax. This would make it exquisite! File folders might work to slip between the glass and the frame...then tape into place.

There are so many paint techniques you could use on this, such as the one mentioned by Jeanette above, that the world is your limit. It would help to know your decorating style.

Have you seen this on Pinterest: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/241364861251729142/ Truly, choose a color you love and that will coordinate with the rest of the room. I love the bold purple on this frame, but if you prefer a bright teal blue or turquoise or hot pink, or whatever, go with what you love.

Buy some Annie Sloan paint and paint it. You don't have to prep the wood - no sanding nothing. After painting you use her wax and believe me it will be gorgeous.
