Jeanette S on Sep 01, 2014Check the reviews on any product like this before you use it. BTW, you can go with white paint in the bathroom and then accent with pink...in other words, play into a color that you don't want to change right now. (Actually, a replacement sink is not that expensive! By the time you buy product, brushes, cleaner, etc. it might be about the same!)Helpful Reply

Kimberly A on Sep 01, 2014You absolutely can. My husband is renovating an old bathroom in a house we are renovating to sell and rather than get rid of the blue cast iron tub and sinks he painted them white and they look perfect. It is an epoxy paint sold in any hardware store made specifically for such applications. Please make sure to follow all directions specifically and seal all edges so you won't have peeling in the future. Good luck.Helpful Reply

Cassandra Golden on Sep 01, 2014My only added comment is the cost. Will your epoxy last more than a year? If not, how much will it cost to redo the sink periodically? Is that cost worth the difference in buying a new sink? I know there are professional bathroom companies that will guarantee their work for a certain length of time. My dad did the green bathtub in our house. The inside only lasted a few months - we used it a lot. The outside was beautiful for several years. Just a thought...sometimes it's worth replacing rather than painting. Let us know how it goes :)Helpful Reply

98466 on Sep 03, 2014I used rustoleums countertop paint on my cultured marble sink/counter. It has held up wonderful for about a yr EXCept around the faucet. It's peeling. I took the faucet off before I painted, sanded the area, painted multiple coats with several days drying in between. It's a guest bath so not used daily. But we live at the beach and have guests a lot. The actually sink inside the bowl is perfect, but just around the faucet is peeling. Not sure why, because the sink actually gets the water. And I've cleaned it many times. Nothing harsh, usually Lysol wipes and a foam bath cleaner spray. The paint has a strong odor but use in a well ventilated area. And let it dry several days between coats. It took me about 2 weeks to do this counter top.Helpful Reply

Darla on Sep 03, 2014We had our worn bathtub professionally refinished and it held up well for 5-6 years with no problems until we got a new tub. If the sink is ceramic, I would recommend that.Helpful Reply
