You may also re-finish your cabinets, antique white maybe? Replace knobs and window treatments, install backsplash etc.

ther are some free cabinet design programs out there youll just have to sift through them until you find what you like

Hi Teresa,I agree with Yamini, Your cabinets appear to be in good shape. I think a little paint and new knobs would really bring them out. I had the same situation as you. My cabinets were oak and I wanted a different look. I painted them, added a glaze accent, changed the hardware and added a tile back splash. I also added bead board on the sides, light rail molding and small crown to the top. This can all be done for a fraction of the cost of new cabinets. The biggest improvement will be seen with the paint and hardware. You can always add other details when it fits your budget. If you want to learn how to cut the crown molding.
