kitchen cabinets

WANT TO PAINT MY KITCHEN CABINETS..this was our kitchen when we purchased this home. We did put down an earthtone tile on the floor. The backsplash and counters are a light to medium blue..I like them. What color would look good on the cabinets ????

Shelle, like the color. It goes with the country motif. Why the "?" behind your suggestion of lighten it up? Yes a kitchen needs to be lightened up. Wakes you up in th morning and if you drink coffee, it helps get the blood flowing.
