Mine developed yellow spots about this time last year and I treated for grubs.Bye bye yellow spots. You might want to take a plug to a nursery.

We use weed n feed every spring and every fall for our grass. We've tried off brands, but not with much luck. It is a little pricey, but it makes a world of difference

What type of grass do you have, Jimmys? If you have tall fescue, which is common in your area, it naturally goes through a period of dormancy when it is hot and dry in the summer, and it takes a lot of water to counteract that. What did you spray?

To keep fescue reasonably happy in the heat of summer it needs a measured inch of water applied once per week.

Wondering what type of grass you have? Here, the zoysia has taken a major beating this year and last. Brown Patch fungus is rampant.

pull up a plug of the grass and if there are no roots, you have grubs, don't use a multipurpose bug killer, get grub killer at IFA
