Fountains in the Garden

Fountains provide the sight and sound of running water in the garden. Tuck them in a flower bed, position one at the front door to greet visitors, or place one by a backyard patio or deck. More water feature photos at http://www.aquascapeinc.com/imagegallery.

    This is great! The barrel man is cute but I'm afraid he'd freak me out at night. (I'm a big chicken) My fav is the 3 tiered, stone fountain because it is a great inspiration piece for my front yard where the bermuda has died due to the shading from my huge oak trees. Do you happen to know what that ground cover is?

    Becky and Debi, you can find the man in the barrel here (the barrel needs to be purchased separately - but he could go in any container that's large enough to hold him): http://store.aquascapeinc.com/products/produ...;

    Aquascape - wow!! These are just awesome. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite - they are all uniquely different, interesting & beautiful. Gotta say though, the barrell man is right up there on the unexpected scale!! Think the driftwood would run a real close second, ahhhhhh - daydreaming ;~)

    I've saved this one Aquascape! Right now, I'm up to my ears in alligators, but will get around to this!

    @Becky - loved your alligators analogy!! I still remember the very first time I heard that expression used - a lawyer I worked for at the time - only it wasn't his ears that the alligators were UP to! LOL ( ! )

    I really hope to have some fountains in our yard, someday. We're working on things a little at a time.

    Susan S., that's probably where I picked the expression up too. Doctors and attorneys use some of the most colorful, descriptive expressions, and I've worked closely with both. And, yes.............I used a substitution for the anatomy part in the phrase. 8-)

    Where can I purchase that liner for the barrel---it looks like molded plastic not a rubber pond liner?

    Aquascape, I like your pictures of kids standing in the pond. Is the pond made specially so they can do that? (at your website)

    Elaine E R, you can purchase the liner, which yes, is molded plastic at several places. You can find them on Ebay, Amazon, and I'm guessing some of the big box stores like Lowe's sell them, too.

    Vivian S, some ponds are shallow - just 2 feet deep. If this is still too deep, you can install a Pondless Waterfall, which doesn't include a pond. But you can create a little wading area just a couple inches deep at the bottom of the waterfalls for small children to play in. Here's a photo that shows an example, nice flat rocks for the kids to sit on, with a little bit of water at the bottom to fill buckets and have fun!
    • Pondless Waterfall - the grandparents wanted just a couple inches of water pooling at the bottom for their grandkids to play in.

    Theresa Z, most of the fountains come as kits so you have the pump, plumbing, reservoir, etc altogether. You can, however, purchase items separately for customized fountain options.
