Old buckets and flowers

I had some old rusty buckets and an ugly stump to disguise. So I came up with my waterfall of flowers..see the entire post at http://www.backwoodscottage.blogspot.com

Pam, I have a very similar set up but I like the off centeredness of this. Ah, well...next year.

What a great idea. It is expensive to get someone to come out and grid out a stump...after all they have expenses and are trying to make a living...but you could cut out the bottom of a tub, place it over the stump, fill around the stump with dirt and plant! I LOVE THIS IDEA!

Stumps are a great way to add hight to your garden, and vines work well on them. I have a Boganvilla on one and Confederate Jasamine on three others. We had to have a tree cut down so I ask them to leave several of the larger cuts of the trunk, rolled them to where I wanted them and set large pots on them. I should take a picture.
