We bought 12MM laminate flooring with attached pad
Do we need to buy additional unerlayment?

No the pad is built in. If you add another pad below that the laminate will move to much and it perhaps can void the warranty of the product. My only suggestion is to check with manufacture about placement of this product. If its on a cement floor or below grade you may want to look into placing down at least a 6 mill plastic sheet to seal off any possible dampness.

Thanks. We've heard both and weren't sure. We've had people tell us you want it for sound. Not having done this before we didn't know who to listen to.
