Painting Grain Sack Stripes & Restoring a Vintage Table

For The Love Creations
by For The Love Creations
I spotted this little gem at a thrift shop and managed to bring her home for only $10.
Solid timber, good construction and I love, love, love those lines.
Lovely wood table BEFORE
I was going to paint it, but instead gave the top a quick sanding out of curiosity. Still didn't look like much (love that dead-venter water mark?!)

But later I rubbed a bit of Miss Mustard Seed's Hemp Oil on and gave it a wet-sand to see the results. They were fantastic!
Before the Hemp Oil treatment
So happy with the results I decided not to paint over the magic and

instead enhance it with a bit of drama- stripes!
Adding a stripe
Measured, taped & painted with Autentico Chalk Paint in Nearly Black
I then painted two coats of the same black on the base/legs and finished the entire piece with another coat of Hemp Oil, making it heat- and water-resistant as well as food safe.
