Seven Fabulous Fall Containers

Container gardening need not stop just because the days are getting cooler. This group of gardening buddies put together a great selection of fall containers.
From topsy turvy to classic window boxes, fall containers can be just as interesting as the traditional summer ones.
Adding a touch of fall with some mums to this olive bucket is the perfect transition piece.
A grouping of grasses, mums and leaves are tied together with a terrific bow in fall colours.
Topsy turkey buckets, ornamental kale, mums and ivy make for an interesting, gravity defying arrangement.
Tuck some gourds, a scarecrow and fall foliage into your watering can for some instant colour on your front porch.
There's still lots of options for filling the gap between fall and those first frosty mornings.
Mr. Pumpkin Head is filled with kale and greens. And the fiery red of the capsicum give him some cute "hair"
A classic take on a late autumn window box, this almost looks like a painting. Beautiful, simple and rustic.

@Verilea poole ~ sorry I didn't catch your question earlier! The tall plants in the back of the box are dried perilla and branches of oakleaf hydrangea with the dried leaves on. I also added dried coneflower, Indian corn, gourds, ornamental kale and pinecones. It all came from my yard except the gourds & corn! Pretty and cheap too!
  • @Barb Rosen can you answer the question from verilea poole above? It's from your fall window box featured here?
