Outdoor sitting area

Our backyard is our oasis. We love vintage and antique pieces. I have discovered that a garden isn't static, it is ever changing and evolving, not only by nature but by our tweaking. We searched for an old glider to place on our covered patio. It was pretty rusted and in need of TLC. It took a lot of work, but the end result is pleasing.I love to sit out there and listen to the rain. It's also a perfect respite from the southern sun.

I am new here and invite you to visit my blog:

The end result is VERY pleasing, Shirley! That vintage glider is so cool. Heading to the blog to get a closer look. :)

Great job on the glider; I know that had to take some time. You've provided an inviting outdoor sitting area; something for everyone. Certainly would imagine spending a lot of time there. BTW, I love your roofline.

Lumberton is a few miles north of Beaumont. I've gone to Humble to shop at a HomeGoods Store. It's the nearest one to us! Like to go to Old Town Spring also. We use to live in Spring.

The glider makes me think of sweet tea! And I agree with Becky....the roofline is the best!

Great job...and worth the effort. There is nothing like a glider. You get the same soothing effect of a swing, but without the posibilities of it knocking everything over! Enjoy!
