Metallic Silver Paint Looks - Shiny, Aged and Antique Furniture

Metallic silver paint has a rich luster that looks expensive. Here are tutorials for shiny and aged silver paint looks. Painted furniture always looks great and I love these painted furniture ideas using silver paint. Not every shiny silver piece may fit in your home, but a beautifully aged piece might. The look is almost stainless steel. For the best result, prep, prep and more prep because metallic silver paints highlight every ding and dent.
Shiny but not mirrored. Sometimes its best to use a roller to avoid brush stroke marks that silver paint can easily show. Either way, don't over brush because you can flatten the texture and look of the paint. This look is relatively easy to get. See more on the blog.
This piece is layers of different metallic spray paints to give it this beautifully aged patina. It takes time and effort but the carved features stand out and balance the dark hardware.
Its amazing how much difference toner can make to a piece. The shininess has gone but not disappeared. Brushing toner downwards - not across - the carved areas highlights the trolley features.

What product did you use to achieve the top project? Did you use Kilz before? Are there any good spray paint options? Thanks

I have been wanting to do. A bedroom set in silver. Have been a little reserved wondering what feng shui says about silver in a bed room.Does anyone know?
