DIY spray paint wicker furniture + using half wine barrels as tables

Buying brand new wicker furniture can be very expensive. Some new wicker furniture can also be very flimsy. Why not purchase or find someone's unloved set and give it a new life.
Another neat idea: cut up an aged wine barrel to use as a coffee table, or flip those planter barrels upside down.
See how I did it here: http://mt-tails.blogspot.com/2012/05/another-before-after-diy-style.html

Great, casual look. The problem with old wicker furniture seems to be the state of disrepair, not the paint. Do you have much experience with fixing broken wicker furniture.

Your wicker set looks wonderful...really brand new! Pillows and rug tie all in together ....just a thought...your flipped over barrel is a good idea for a table...have you thought of updating the barrel too? I would paint the metal bands black to match the wicker & do maybe a gray chalk paint on the wood to keep it slightly shabby looking! Think about it!! Good Luck!
