$100 Kitchen Island

I created this kitchen island by using a sink base cabinet from Lowes that I got for $50. I used a furniture grade wood plank to create the top. This project was super easy and very affordable. To view the full tutorial visit: www.simplyhomecents.blogspot.com

The island looks great! I'm glad to see this cabinet because my husband wants to use several of these cabinets as the base for an entertainment center. Seeing how pretty yours looks is reassuring! Like the bead board and the corbels. Just perfect!

Cheap way to add some great, valuable counter space. Nice work.

Great job! I have an island that rolls and I love it. It was built by a cabinet maker. When I am cooking, I can move it to where I need it. We put a butcher block top on it and it is so easy to clean. I insist that a cutting board be used on it since I do not want to destroy my top! We just sealed it with the butcherblock sealer we found at Home Depot!
