How to Paint an Upholstered Chair With a Paint Sprayer
by

I bought this chair at a yard sale for $5. I've been wanting to paint fabric for a long time, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. The chair was in pretty good shape, the back was decent, however the seat cushion was worn and ripped....
In this photo, you can see the before and after. I used a Homeright Finish Max to spray paint this chair and fabric with some DIY chalk paint as a primer, and then Behr semi-gloss paint as the topcoat to give more protection.
This is how the chair looked when I brought it home. I did have to do a little bit of repair on the leg, but nothing Gorilla Wood Glue couldn't fix. In addition I had to put a few staples to hold up the lining. I think someone ripped the lining to make sure nothing of value had been secretly stored there. :)
This is the after. I asked a friend to recover the seat for me because I'd rather be SAWING than SEWING. :)
