Chalkboard Announcement
If you know me then you know I am a slacker at heart. I wait until the last minute and I am always late! So it’s no surprise I whipped up a chalkboard in about 15 minutes.
I am going to skip all the “I was going to do this…” “I planned to do this” and just tell you how I did this in a hurry! Okay, I lied. I will tell you one. I went to Home Depot to grab 2 Oak boards. They usually have craft boards and they are a couple of dollars. I didn’t see the bin so grabbed 2 I saw in with the other lumber. I got to the check out and they were going to be $8.44 each! Ummm, no thanks. I quickly left there and frantically searched Wal- Mart. I found wood plaques that were about $3.00 so I got those.

Next instead of using the chalkboard paint I used CeCe Caldwell’s Paints in Beckley Coal. There isn’t a cure time for it so instead of waiting the 3 days I could go ahead and season the chalkboard and get going!
n case you don’t know what season a chalkboard means, you just take a piece of chalk and go over the entire thing with it. That’s it! My chalkboard was done and next I announced my news!
Is this the cutest announcement or what?!? I told them to smile and he just did this on his own! I was getting on to him but secretly loving it, thinking it would be SO cute:) SOOO we are adding another little helper:)
We are just thrilled to be adding 2 feet to our family!
