Dragonflies made using re-purposed materials. Just about anything can be -reborn!

My latest dragonflies made using radio flyer wagon, barn tin, license plates, old signs and vintage ceiling tile tin. For the bodies I used chair legs and hammer handles! #Bestof2012 #Love2Repurpose #SpringFever #recycle

Yes, you certainly can. I also use wood blades on some of my flies as well.

Ahhh... Dragonflies ~~ Love them. I saved one once and it was unbelievable how once he was uprighted and able to fly, he swooped in circles over my head several times before flying off ~~ his way of saying "Thanks". Since this event, I've always been partial.

Oh I love these. They are so cute. I've been wanting a plasma cutter. (maybe some day) But until then I should get a cutting torch, so I can make some cool projects like this. Is a cutting torch hard to learn to use? I have some old license plates I could make me one. Would look really cute on my back fence. Saving and sharing Thanks!

Linda Keesee Thank you! I am fortunate that my husband is an amazing and patient teacher. It just takes practice:) A note about cutting license plates, cutting torch doesn't work well on license plates. It gets to hot and burns a lot of the paint off, best to use plasma for them. Cutting torch works good for other types such as barn tin:)
