Landscape pond marsh

I built a landscape pond in the front yard that has a low area on one side. When it rains it creates a marsh on that one side which is not a problem to me but, I would like to have some ideas for plantings decorations to do with this approximately 10'x15' area.

It sounds like a great place to plant Louisiana iris. If you have room for a tree, either a bald cypress or a pond cypress would be an excellent choice.

  @Douglas Hunt Thanks Douglas. I've already got a Bald Cypress started and I'll look int the Iris as I wanted something that would more or less cover the whole area to keep people and animals out and also look nice.
