Landscape pond marsh

I built a landscape pond in the front yard that has a low area on one side. When it rains it creates a marsh on that one side which is not a problem to me but, I would like to have some ideas for plantings decorations to do with this approximately 10'x15' area.

It sounds like a great place to plant Louisiana iris. If you have room for a tree, either a bald cypress or a pond cypress would be an excellent choice.

@BKS @Douglas Hunt I believe I just figured out what is going here. After I replied to Mr. Kolfage, I come back and notice that a quite many replies and comments mysteriously disappeared. Hmmm.
