My First Garden Ever!

My husband and I purchased our first home in December. Since then I have been dreaming about building a garden along the fence of the farmers field behind our house. This is what I have so far!

You should be so proud. I myself put my first Minnesota garden in this year after moving a year ago. Fun to see new beginnings !!

So much for baby steps as a gardener! You dove right in and are getting great results. Thanks for the reminder that I need to plant some gayfeather. (I think your lavender is actually salvia.)

ha! @Doug... I think you're right! I was told it was sage at one point, and then I was told it was lavender. But it clearly looks just like salvia. THANKS!

I thought Salvia was an annual though? This was given to me from someone's last season garden.

There are perennial and annual salvias, Michelle. And to make things more complicated, some people refer to salvias as sage. You've got perennial salvia.
