Stenciled Tables

Recently I've stenciled a couple of dining room tables that have been fairly popular, so I thought I would share them with y'all! They are done so that the wood shows through the stencil and I love the look. Here are the links to the posts: Paisley table - http://www.domesticimperfection.com/2012/05/...

I found some TV trayis made from pine, and was hoping you wouldn't mind stenciling them for me? I love and trust your eye and hand, but not my own! Any suggestions that may be easy to start w/ on one?

I absolutely fell in love with this table and am looking for a table I can do that to. I am working on a small one now and Pray it will look half as good as your large table. Beautiful!!!!!!

I would love to do this for my table! Do you need to sand the top 1st before stenciling? And then when finished is there a clear coat that can be used to protect the finished project? I have three kids and they are pretty brutal with the table. Thanks

Terri J - Sorry, I didn't see your question until Sharron W tagged me! I could stencil them for you, but it wouldn't be worth the cost to ship them back and forth. Stenciling is seriously easy and I KNOW you can do it and have it turn out awesome! If you want some advice or run into any snags along the way feel free to shoot me an e-mail at domesticimperfection at gmail.com and I can help you out :)

Lisa Ketzner - Yes, you need to sand the tables down to bare wood before you stencil. After you stencil and stain cover it with a few coats of polycrylic and it should withhold kid brutality just fine :) The link to the full tutorials are in my original description if you want way more details!

i think this is so cool, and a great hobby i'm going to give it a try, I like the idea of serving trays and frames and such, maybe a end table for a porch or such area of leisure time spent.

We found the same exact table at Goodwill today! We hit that place almost daily, and usually end up with at least one cool project. Your stencil job looks both professional and just so pretty! We are going to have a big ol mothers day yard sale with our finds and projects. Your stencil project inspired me to get on the ball and get some ordered so I can attempt at least one stencil project to sell.
