Furniture placement in studio apartment

I'm moving into a studio apartment that's approximately 300 square feet and need opinions on furniture placement. I don't have exact dimensions, but I sketched out a plan based on my viewing of the property. Currently all I have is a daybed (Ikea Hemnes--the size of a twin as a daybed and the size of two twin beds when pulled out) and a rug (Length: 6 ' 5 " Width: 4 ' 4 "). I think the single wall kitchen layout stumps me the most. Also, I cannot put any holes in the wall, etc.
Any thoughts?

In my travels around the world I have bought and bought and bought! And I am the worst space planner / organizer / decorator, so I just put the new purchased where there is room for them. BUT the paintings and pictures are the issue. I am running out of space. Any book or site anyone can recommend on getting organized?

Wish I was there to help you! This is my favorite kind of projects. "Go up"! If you can, find floor to ceiling bookcases and use baskets and boxes to store all of your things.

I wish you were here to help me too---you are so talented! This will be a bit of a downsize for me so I'm looking for all of the advice I can get. I'll start searching for tall storage---Thanks so much :)

Cute! I like the idea of a curtain or standing screen behind the bed to act like a headboard but to disguise a small closet area. Also I like the idea of a kitchen cart/island to put parallel to your kitchen wall for an "eat in" area and extra storage.

Thanks! I really like the idea of a cart/island. Great idea for a place to eat, storage, and a little separation of kitchen and other areas!
