Does any part of the project concern you? As with any project, there is always something unknown, or an area which is more likely to produce an immediate change order. Odds are that your bathroom remodeling contractor will already know this. Talking about it first to ensure a worst case scenario can be determined is an excellent strategy to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
What happens should there be a change order? Change orders are normally easy to handle within your contract. A good way to document change orders is to put it in writing, where the change in the work and the price is recorded and signed by you and the contractor. Some contracts note the change in time schedule also. Ensure you have a plan in place to record the unexpected and expected changes which occur along the way.
How can the contractor be reached after hours? Knowing beforehand how to reach your contractor in case of an emergency is as important as your contractor contacting you. Exchange numbers, such as landline, cell phone and work number, so contacting each other is not a crisis in itself.
