I pulled one yesterday and the bolts were spinning...I gently used my flat pry bar to "lift" the washer some...this put enough tension on the system to hold the bolt in place to unscrew the nut. I my case the toilet is being reinstalled, so it simply got lifted up and over the tub apron for the floor tile to be installed. -
What a clever and practical invention! I don't think we've had a situation that calls for it yet, but I will remember it's out there when we do. -
Thanks KMS for that fantastic tip. Many of us have older houses and need advice on how to complete projects without getting frustrated. -
I thought about cutting the bolts but since I was working in a 3 floor condo and my truck was parked a block and a half away I looked about to see what tools I had inside that might work to get the job done...the flat bar was just sitting in the next room. -
This would have come in handy a couple months ago. LOL Good to know for future projects!
