Bare kitchen wall

I have a big wall in my kitchen that is bare and I have no idea what to put on it. Any suggestions??

  • A few pictures or at least thoughts on the style of your house / kitchen would help. With that you may wish to pull a search here for what others have done. Some quick off the cuff answers might be shelves, artwork, beadboard / wainscoting, knick-knack displays, a pantry unit...

    Maybe a big chalk board or even a big clock? also I agree with @SLS Construction & Building Solutions LLC shelves would even be a good idea open shelving is really popular right now and also gives you extra storage too... =)

    If the kitchen is small and you need extra storage solutions, you can cut out sections of the drywall between the studs. That will give you a four inch deep area for shelves. They can be stained or painted to match your decor and left open for your attractive things like teacups, candle holders, candy dishes, etc. Or you can install cabinet doors for food storage. It could be an entire pantry. It is amazing what you can fit in small spaces! Good luck! I'm sure whatever you choose will be lovely.
