  • Purple Clematis! On April 9th
  • Mexican Chimenea and Hammocks, perfect weather for both! Under the deck is our dancing area since we put outdoor speakers up! Falling asleep on a hammock on a beautiful crisp starry night is priceless!

  • Another view of the deck and ongoing garden...we do a little every year since our slopey and hilly garden is a challenge! Plus grass does NOT grow well on it unless we tend to it very carefully and that's just too much work! (very shady backyard)

Love Spring! Makes laying out in the hammock beautiful, perfect Firepit weather too!

You could say we built our outdoor deck and garden for the hammock. I live to hammock!

  • I love to use black in my designs, therefore the rug & window treatment have a black background. When the room was almost done, I felt that we needed the sideboard to be red. I liked the result of the accent colors with the wall color. 1

When this client moved into her new house, she wanted to use her existing breakfast table in the dinning room...

I thought it was too casual, but I had to make it work. I actually like the result because it is more welcoming.

Observation

My dear sweet husband has asked me not to visit this site anymore. He has done so many projects that I have found on this site....An arbor and swing, a curved rock walkway, a fire pit ...»
and oh so many countless little projects.

Bless him, I just print out a picture and he gets to work. But alas, he's 72 and has asked me to give him a breather.

I think what I'm trying to say is that this is such a wonderful site with so many wonderful people and more ideas than I know what to do with. Thank you all so much.

(I have my eye on that clay pot figure but haven't told him yet)
