Before & After DIY Laminate Flooring

Such a deal .59cents a square foot all carpet is gone through out the house and laying Chesapeake Premium Laminate Flooring "Calhoun Maple". Summer project!!!

Looks great. High-end laminate really looks good these days, and laminate doesn't deserve its poor reputation anymore.

I LOVE MY LAMINATE! Let's face it, most people do not live in museum quality homes so getting upity about flooring is a joke! A floor is supposed to be serviceable and if it is comfortable and looks good in the process, so be it! We put in Shaw Flooring's oak in 2005 in our den which gets tracked on from the outside and the garage and gets traffic from a very active dog. It looks like it was put in yesterday! Then in 2010 we put laminate in our back foyer, kitchen and downstairs ...»
master bedroom and bathroom. I like it even more now! I use rugs to cozy it up and would never go back to carpet! And it is a doable DIY project. Takes only a couple of tools, patience and a lot of knee bending. Just do not go into this without some utility pads to kneel on. Before you start, get some tips from someone who has put this in before and watch some tutorials!

save those knees as pads are a must and cleaning this type of floor is so easy looks clean and can change up with different rugs. love it with dogs as well.

I have laminate in our kitchen/sun room and love it! Cleaning it can be interesting, though. Can look streaked. Any suggestions?

I use a hand carry Shop vacuum so I don't roll on the wood floor. I use a microfiber mop Bellnwood brand and their product since it was free from the company
