Vaulted ceilings

My quaint little third floor apartment has put me into vaulted ceiling overload --every single room, no less!! Now that I have reduced head-banging to only about twice a day, and have gone round one with "ooooo that's so clever and adorable", I need suggestions for storage, wall paint schemes, etceterahhhh. Would love ideas.
Living Room: jammin but jammed!

I had this exact ceiling in one of my apartments in France...I think I still have head bruises from it! We ended up splitting it into two levels and putting a bed on a mezanine way up top which gave a flat section at the back of the room
  • When my wife and I were still single we lived in a converted hay loft with the same types of ceilings. Even our doors were cut on angles between the rooms. To divide the room we created string art walls. Screwed a board on the floor and on the ceiling and nailed brads every half inch apart. Then using different color yarns we wove them up and down on the nails. Hey it was the early 70's But it divided the rooms for us.

You could paint clouds on one of the ceilings. In the bedroom, how about getting cheap paint cloths and drapig the walls and ceilings to look like your camping. You can do this with sheets to. Hang pictures on the walls right over it. As far as storage, get book cases and turn them on their sides and insert baskets. You can get anything thrift that will fit the walls removing the legs.if you need more light decorate with lots of mirrors.

Get rid of the maps on the ceiling. Also there are too many different fabrics in one space. Try getting all one or two colour towels.
