Creating a Wine Nook
Using an unused space under some stairs we applied some stone around and inside of the space to create a wine nook. The wood shelves were distressed with creamy colored paint and the name of our favorite bottle of champagne is stenciled at the top. It's such an unexpected sight when guests walk by the space in the hallway- which by the way started out as a mistake. This is such a clever idea! Who doesn't need a wine nook :)

Under stairs are areas that often get overlooked....I built a small storage area under mine where I can store paints and caulks and stuff that is freeze sensitive...I do not have a garage and my basement is not heated.
