That's what I'm talking about..LOL I'm a thrift store hunt addict...I love the thrill of the hunt and the challege of making it work...I just bought one for the college boy and rewired it...now it's an aewsome 3-way, touch off-on, desk lamp with a modern look that he loves...5 bucks for the lamp...7 for the new "touch-on-off" switch...and for 12 bucks we got a great new lamp... The other one was just beautiful crystal and I loved the look!

Thx everyone. Believe it or not a lampshade can make a lamp but we agree that the base part has to be of a fab design - thrift store finds can be ideal for painting and so many new paint finishes in a can!
