Backyard Oasis

We have turned our backyard from an overgrown jungle to a backyard oasis landscaping a little bit at a time over the years. You can see more here:http://diydesignfanatic.blogspot.com/

Your landscape reflects years of labor and planning. It's beautiful. At the same time, I think it had to be very nice to look out and see what Mother Nature had wrought too. I think I'd be torn between taming it and enjoying nature.

So true Becky, we only landscaped the edge of the woods on one side of the yard and about 30-40 ft in the area shown. The rest of the lot to the creek is wild. The lot is sloped past the area that's landscaped and slopes down to the creek. On the other side of the creek the land goes back up and there are huge trees back there. When the sunlight comes through the trees at certain times of the day, it's absolutely gorgeous! You can't improve on that view!
